How I look after the personal information you share through this website.

Last updated 24 October 2026

Who I am

By Rosanna Rose is the trading name of Rosanna Rose, a sole trader. I decide how the personal information collected through this website is used, which makes me its controller under UK data protection law. For any question about this policy or your information, write to rosanna@byrosannarose.com.

What I collect

  • Launch Preview requests: your name and email address, and anything else you choose to share, such as your phone number, company, role, project details, timing and how you found the Studio.
  • Letters from Rose: your email address.
  • Emails you send me: whatever you include in them.
  • Visiting the site: Squarespace, which hosts it, keeps technical logs such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages, keep the site secure and count visits.

Squarespace sets a small number of cookies to keep the website working and to count visits. There are no advertising trackers, and the typefaces are served by the website’s own host.

How I use it, and why

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare your Launch Preview. You asked me to, so I rely on taking steps at your request before any agreement, and on my legitimate interest in answering the people who write to me.
  • To send Letters from Rose, only if you sign up. I rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any letter or by emailing me.
  • To keep the website working and secure, on the basis of my legitimate interest in doing so.

I never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers handle information on my behalf, under contract and only on my instructions:

  • Squarespace hosts this website and stores Launch Preview requests and Letters from Rose sign-ups.
  • Google provides my email.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK’s approved data transfer agreements.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years after we were last in touch, then deleted.
  • If we work together: for as long as the work and my legal and accounting obligations require.
  • Letters from Rose: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how I use it, or to receive a copy to take elsewhere. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email me and I will reply within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
